Passion. Commitment. Experience.

Micah Sanderson is a father, husband, and citizen who cares deeply about the safety of our community. He lives in Denver with his wife, Brooke, and their two children.

Micah received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Campbell University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He passed the bar in August of 2003.

Micah’s been practicing law in our community for over 15 years. He joined Robert J. Brown, Attorney at Law after law school, and then opened his own practice in 2006.  In 2010, Micah went to work for the District Attorney's office in Cleveland and Lincoln Counties and has been there ever since.

Outside of practicing law, Micah has served on the Board of Directors for the Lincoln County Chapter of the Red Cross and has led the board as Chairman since 2010.

Micah has the experience we need on the bench to bring justice and keep our neighborhoods safe.

One of Us

Micah’s experience, both as a defense attorney and a prosecutor, has taught him that the decisions of a district court judge have a direct impact on the families in our community.

As our district court judge, Micah will hold parents accountable for court-mandated child support obligations.

He will take action in cases of domestic abuse so families do not have to live in fear and will help the youth of our community reach their full potential by being a positive influence in their lives.

Micah will be firm with those who endanger their lives and the lives of others by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Families and everyday citizens need a strong voice on the bench to keep our community safe and strong. Micah will be that voice.
